Welcome to our first ever newsletter! We have had a very busy year so far. We have had the pleasure of working on not one, not two, but three of the buildings featured in the BBC "Restoration" series.
In the Summer we completed our works to The Saracens Head and The Old Grammar School at Kings Norton in Birmingham. These buildings were the winners of the 2004 series. The buildings were restored to their former glory using Wattle and Daub, but also had the addition of a glass conservatory to bring it right up to date. These buildings will now be used by the local community and parish council.

The third building was Darnley Mausoleum. This was the runner up in the 2003 series of the BBC "Restoration" programme. The building had been neglected and vandalised over the years and our part of the project was to restore the domed ceiling. It took a lot of hard work (and planning) but we were very pleased with the finished results and it was great to see another building being put back into use again after years of neglect.
We have also worked on a private manor house in Hertfordshire. Previously a hotel, this house has been restored to its former glory. Albarius Limited worked on the external render and internal plasterworks to the property. We have also completed works on numerous smaller cottages and farmhouses for private clients, showing that we are able to work on any project be they large or small.
Looking ahead, we are very excited about the future with lots of fantastic works in the pipeline. With works started on a private estate in Suffolk and projects due to start nationwide this is a very exciting time for us all at Albarius Limited.
