About Albarius Limited
Albarius Limited (previously known as S.G. Ellis Plastering Limited) was started by Stephen Ellis in 1995 as a sole trader and quickly grew to a limited company, which was registered in 2000. Stephen gained his City and Guilds in solid and fibrous plasterwork from Hammersmith and West London College in 1990. For the next few years he trained in the use of lime plasters and gained the skills and work ethic required for plaster restoration and conservation.
The company has now grown into a strong, professional team of craftsmen with over 15 years of experience who uphold the company's ethos of being sympathetic to the fabric and character of all historic buildings. We believe that we should maintain and respect the skills of earlier craftsmen and use their traditional materials and tools. We also believe that we should educate future generations within our trade to ensure the skills are never lost and the historic buildings remain for future generations to enjoy.
We can provide a team of highly skilled lime plasterers for any size of project and we are regularly called upon as specialist lime and plasterwork restoration contractors to work alongside many of the country's larger heritage conservation companies.
